The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai sets a new trend with the launch of Shanghai’s first and only Martini Brunch in its award winning restaurant, Tables.

Shanghai, March 3, 2013 — Brunch is becoming a social tradition for many people living in big cities including Shanghai, Tables at The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai is introducing a sophisticated Martini Brunch to all brunch lovers starting March 3, 2013, following the success of 101 Martini Brunch at The Ritz-Carlton, Jakarta Mega Kuningan launched a few years ago.

Elaborately planned by the culinary team to create the new brunch experience, an international array of brunch favorites and Asian selections is served with free-flowing martinis, champagne and wines, Martini Brunch at The Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai will be led by duo artists, Chef Roy Dibyendu to design a tantalizing culinary spread and Shanghai’s new rising star cocktails craftsman, David Hong who has gained several recognitions for his signature cocktails.

Priced at CNY 558+ per person including free flowing martinis, wines and champagne, the brunch will start mixing twelve different creative martinis including David Hong’s signatures Breakfast Martini, Perfect Martini, and Ritz Bar Martini; all have been carefully crafted to match Chef Roy’s popular dishes. The Martini Brunch will also stage the hotel’s very own jazzman, George Butts and friends who will create a perfect afternoon ambiance with fun music and performances.

Designed to inspire a new experience on each occasion with family, business associates and friends, Tables is the focal point of dining and culinary excellence in the award-winning Portman Ritz-Carlton, Shanghai. An all-day dining restaurant with al fresco seating, uniquely created table tops form a distinctive backdrop against which discerning palates can enjoy a style of different cuisines, from power lunches to convivial dinners, larger groups of guests can be seated either in four semi-private rooms or a gold leaf coated communal table in the center of the room.
