PALM BEACH, Fla., February 17, 2012 – Beyond crafts and campfires, Coast Summer Day Camps overflow with hands-on one-, three- and five-day themed summer adventures. This July and August, Coast “clubhouse” comes alive at The Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach as Coast offers Surf and Art, Tech (including DJ, Film and Photography), plus a glamorous Model Camp. Teens will find the groovy themes, uninhibited and engaging. The camps are from 9:00AM – 4:00PM daily and include lunch; no mosquitoes, homesickness or short-sheeted beds, just the perfect teen escape for summer “daze!”

Surf Camp starts the day with lessons in surfing, stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing and an introduction to kite boarding. While surf’s up, campers will be filming and taking pictures of each other in action. After lunch, participants will head to Coast to edit and create a surf highlight video finely tuned to music and cinematography! As camp ends, guests will leave with a knapsack full of goodies, a highlight video and photos burned onto a disc.

Pricing for Surf Camp starts at $150 for one day, $275 for three days and $350 for all five days, plus a one time $50 registration fee; minimum two campers for one day sessions and five campers for three and five-day sessions.

Tech Camp is a comprehensive audio/visual exploration of DJ, Film and Photography. In coordination with local DJs, students will learn to mix, scratch and edit music on their own. The camp day will wrap with a final song montage and possibly end in a DJ Battle. Utilizing the Coast film production equipment, participants will create a plot, write a script and develop a concept, plus directing and editing their project. Talented camp counselors adept with photography acumen will teach participants the basics of fashion, studio and action photography; campers will also be able to edit their photos with photography software. Creativity is limitless—let the imagination take over—stage a drama or cool action sports short—all rated “G,” of course. Tech Camp will sum up the week with film premieres, photo gallery shows and a red carpet groove session with DJ music. Tech Camp is available for three or five days; pricing starts at $350.

For Day Camp divas, Model/Fashion Camp is just the ticket for sassy, summer days. Available as a three-day or five-day camp only, fancy campers will learn to walk the catwalk, pose for fashion shoots, understand the art of make-up and hairstyles, experience a real “go-see” and take home their very own modeling portfolio. Model Camp is available for three and five days and starts at $375.

Camp Coast and Camp AquaNuts will be “normal” Coast and AquaNuts programming available to the local residents on a daily or weekly basis.
