Jeremy Grossman Joins Manzanita as New Chef De Cuisine

The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe’s Signature Forbes Four-Star Restaurant

NORTH LAKE TAHOE, CA. – March 1, 2013 – The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe announced Jeremy Grossman as the new Chef de Cuisine of Manzanita where he will oversee all culinary operations of the resort’s signature, Forbes Four-Star award-winning restaurant at the luxury mountain resort in Northern California. “My inspiration is cooking with seasonal and local ingredients. My passion for food is an appreciation of what the farmers have dedicated their lives to growing and then sharing it with our guests” said Chef Jeremy Grossman.

Chef Jeremy Grossman’s earliest and fondest memories were cooking in the kitchen with his mother for family and friends during holidays and parties. It was these moments that made a lasting impression on Grossman and inspired him to create a life in the culinary arts. Grossman achieved his culinary degree at The Art Institute of Los Angeles in 2005 and then grew his culinary experience as the Junior Sous Chef at Wilshire Restaurant and Sous Chef at BLT Steak under the leadership of Laurent Tourondel. Following, he ultimately perfected his knowledge of contemporary California cuisine with positions at Rustic Canyon Wine Bar and Seasonal Kitchen, where he had the opportunity to work with James Beard Nominee, Evan Funke. In his most recent role as Executive Chef of Sonoma Wine Garden in Santa Monica Place, Grossman used his “farm to table” connection to bring his contemporary Southern California cuisine to life.

Before Grossman began his career in culinary, he proudly served as an Army Ranger for four years and was stationed in Fort Lewis, WA and Fort Drum, NY and spent most of his tenure in The 2nd Ranger Battalion. In that time he earned his Combat Infantryman Badge for his service in Afghanistan. Chef Grossman is a dedicated husband and father. His family will join him in their new home in Northern California.
