The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common Celebrates Boston’s Most Popular Attraction: The Freedom Trail

Boston, MA – June 30, 2009 – The Ritz-Carlton, Boston Common invites visitors to Boston to experience the Freedom Trail. There is no other place in the United States where you can take in the rich history of America’s Revolution — the events that lead up to the historic break from Britain and the brave people who shaped our national government.

The Freedom Trail is a 2.5 mile red-brick walking trail that leads you to 16 nationally significant historic sites, every one an authentic American treasure. Preserved and dedicated by the citizens of Boston in 1958, when the wrecking ball threatened, the Freedom Trail today is a unique collection of museums, churches, meeting houses, burying grounds, parks, a ship, and historic markers that tell the story of the American Revolution and beyond.  The Freedom Trail Package includes the following:

  • Overnight luxury accommodations in a deluxe guest room
  • Walking Tour or Audio Tour: This tour is the best way for you to experience the Freedom Trail. Led by an 18th
Century Costumed Guide, the 90-minute tour mixes humor, history and fun. Be transported back in time to the days of the American Revolution and have a hands-on revolutionary experience.                                                               Sites include the following: The Boston Common, The State House, Park Street Church, Granary Burying Ground, King’s Chapel, King’ Chapel Burying Ground, Benjamin Franklin Statue/Boston Latin School, Old Corner Book Store, Old South Meeting House, Old State House, Site of the Boston Massacre, Faneuil Hall, Paul Revere House, The Old North Church, Copp's Hill Burying Ground, USS Constitution — “Old Ironsides” & USS Constitution Museum, Bunker Hill Monument.
  • American Breakfast for two in the hotel’s Jer-Ne Restaurant
