Savour the Flavour of a Magical Christmas Market at The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin

Teddy bears, Christmas cocktails, Goose to go and a world of choice for New Year’s Eve, the
festive season is all wrapped up at Potsdamer Platz’s famous five-star hotel

Berlin, 2012 — Magical Christmas is easy to achieve. Just add g ood friends, close family, plenty of laughter and The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin.

From festive feasts to take home, delicious Christmas cocktails and winter wonderland breaks to cuddly teddy bear fun and an unforgettable end to the year, the Potsdamer Platz five-star is offering the ultimate feel good Christmas.

Even better, The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin is celebrating the festive season with its own Christmas market in the heart of the hotel. Friends, families or colleagues can savor all that’s warm and welcoming about Christmas markets – the festive atmosphere, cheering glühwein and irresistible treats – without the cold comfort of having to go outside.

In the market for Christmas fun
Chef André Trojanowski and his team have brought the concept of the Christmas market out of the cold, gift-wrapped it in the best culinary ingredients and given it a warm new home in the bustling kitchen of Ponte Murano. Traditional festive food is the order of the day here from rustic garlic mushrooms, cheese noodles and slow-roasted meats to candied apples, chocolate-covered fruits and irresistible pudding all served with lashings of seasonal fun and aromatic glühwein. For those who like to cook, there will always be a ladle handy and for those who like to watch, the sommelier will be on hand to recommend something festive and fruity. A photographer will be also available to capture every precious moment and for those that like their celebrations to go with a swing, a band can also be booked.

The price per person is 89 Euro for groups of between six and 25 people. The Christmas market will be celebrated from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. from November 1 to December 23, 2012, subject to availability.

The perfect Christmas present? A five-star break
A luxury stay at The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin is a Christmas gift that is perfect any time of the year. The hotel is offering special gift packages including a night in a superior double room, breakfast and a welcoming glass of Champagne in the Curtain Bar. The packages are perfect for taking a break from a busy Christmas schedule or for relaxing after hectic New Year celebrations.

The package is valid from November 1, 2012 to February 10, 2013 and is subject to availability. The price is 255 Euro per person and includes an overnight stay in a superior double room, breakfast and a glass of Champagne.

Tea with teddy and a festive cookie or two…
Every Advent Sunday The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin will be playing host to some very special furry guests. Teddy bears of all shapes and sizes will be welcoming children to the hotel for festive fun and games. And, while the little ones enjoy their big bear day out, their parents can relax with tea, coffee and a selection of irresistible Christmas cookies.

The Teddy Tea is held every Advent Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. and is 19 Euro per child and 42 Euro per adult. A savoury and sweet buffet is available in addition to Christmas punch for children.

‘Goose to go’ is a recipe for Christmas success
‘Goose to go’ at The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin is widely regarded as a Christmas classic. Prepared by Martin Lisson Chef at Brasserie Desbrosses this festive favorite takes the hassle out of the holidays, prevents potential kitchen disasters and leaves those who pre-ordered free to concentrate on what really matters at Christmas, friends and family. For those who would rather other people cleared up after their Christmas meal, the traditional goose dinner is also available in the convivial setting of Brasserie Desbrosses.

‘Goose to go’ is available from December 17 to December 26 from 11 a.m. to 8p.m. Each goose is 149 Euro and the price includes a bottle of red wine. The goose can serve four to six people. A minimum of one working day is required for orders.

Low-calorie cocktails for a guilt-free Christmas
Santa Claus may be known for his largesse, but the Papa Noel cocktail at The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin is taking a more slim-line approach to festive celebrations this year. Created by master bartender Arnd Heissen, the combination of warming Japanese Shochu, zingy lemon, half a vanilla bean and a range of secret ingredients add up a magical cocktail experience that’s got plenty of Christmas punch but only 40 calories. Alternatively Heissen’s unforgettable Santa’s Tea Party, brings festive flavors to life through the unique combination of teas and distillation. Cheers!

The Papa Noel cocktail is 14 Euros and is available at The Curtain Club. An extensive range of other winter warmers courtesy of the hotel’s experienced mixologists are also available.

New Year’s celebrations inspire the world
At The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin this New Year’s Eve, partygoers can find themselves in Paris, Moscow, London or New York without having to leave the hotel. The famous five-star is hosting celebrations in four themed settings. For culinary delights à la Paris, there is a New Year’s Eve buffet with a French twist in Brasserie Desbrosses; in The Curtain Club there is caviar and Champagne served up to classic lounge tunes from Moscow and at the Moët & Chandon Champagne Bar in the Tea Lounge glasses can be raised to the freshest tunes from London. Finally for those who never want the night to end, there is a New York party that celebrates the city’s retro cool of super club Studio 54 complete with red carpet and disco balls.

New Year’s Eve celebrations at the hotel are from 7 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. in Paris; 8pm to 3 a.m. in Moscow and London and from 10pm to 3am in New York. The price for the Parisian buffet including wine, beer, non-alcoholic drinks and entertainment is 229 Euro per person; in Moscow and London the price for 100gm of caviar and a bottle of Moët & Chandon for two is 360 Euro for two people and in New York the price is 99 Euro per person and includes a welcome drink as well as red and white wine.
