The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street Named “Best Hotel” In Travel + Leisure’s (U.S.A.) 2008 Design Awards
Hotel is the only establishment in the world to receive this design award in this category this year.
BEIJING, CHINA – February 13, 2008 – The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street was named “Best Hotel” in Travel + Leisure’s (U.S.A.) 2008 Design Awards. Nancy Novogrod, editor-in-chief of Travel + Leisure recognized the winners from around the globe at the magazine’s fourth annual Design Awards held recently in New York City on February 12, 2008 honoring the best in design and architecture of the last year.
“To be the only hotel in the world in this category to win this design accolade indicates how a contemporary design of glass and chrome can be successfully combined with neo-classical Chinese aesthetics to provide a cultural sense of place for our highly discerning globe-trotting guests,” said Derek Flint, general manager of The Ritz-Carlton Beijing, Financial Street. “We are truly excited the hotel is fast becoming a contemporary icon in Beijing’s new Financial Street – the new Wall Street of China.”
